Solar Activity
Solar activity was at low levels. Region 4130 (S12E68, Axx/alpha) produced multiple low level C-class flares during the second half of the period as it rotated into view onto the eastern limb. New Region 4131 (N08W05, Dso/beta) grew rapidly this period but was quiet. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.
Solar Wind
Solar wind parameters reflected weakening negative polarity CH HSS influence. Total IMF strength ranged 3-7 nT and the Bz component was +/-6 nT. Solar wind speeds averaged near 500 km/s. Phi was predominantly negative while undertaking several brief excursions into the positive solar sector.
Energetic Particle
The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels with a peak flux of 8,730 pfu observed at 30/1625 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.
